An all-seater stadium is a sports stadium in which all the spectators are seated and no one stands and watches the match. All-seater football stadiums provide more security and are commonplace in the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
FIFA and UEFA have made it a rule that all matches in competitions that they administer (such as the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Cup) have to be held at all-seater stadiums.
