Real Madrid B is also known as Real Madrid Castilla or is nicknamed as RM Castilla. This club plays in the Segunda Division B and is the reserve team of Real Madrid. The home matches of this team are played at Alfredo di Stefano Stadium.
The reserve team in Spain plays in the same league system as their senior team than a separate league. The reserve team cannot play in the same division as their senior team and so Real Madrid Castilla are ineligible for promotion to the Primera Division. The reserve teams are even not permitted to enter the Copa del Rey competition. Only U23 and U25 players having professional contract, can switch from senior and reserve teams.
