FC Rot-Weiss Erfurt is an association club of Germany from the city of Erfurt, Thuringia.
Founded in 26 January 1966, the club is well managed by its manager Stefan Emmerling and its chairman Rolf Rombach. The home matches of the club are played in Steigerwaldstadion with a capacity of 19,439 spectators at a time.

The club is a member of 3 Liga. Its association colors are red, white and black.
The club holds several honors to its name both in league competitions as well as in cup competitions. The honors achieved by the club in league competitions include DDR-Oberliga twice, runners up of Soviet Zone championship in 1948-49, Verband Mitteldeutscher Ballspiel-Vereine, Thuringian Gau championship for astonishingly 12 times, Northern Thuringia Gau championship for remarkably 9 times and Thüringian championship.
The Cup competition won by the club includes Thuringia Cup for 8 times. The club has also been the runners up of FDGB-Pokal twice in 1949-50 and 1979-80 and also the Thuringia Cup thrice in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 2003-04.
