The club was established on 6 February 1910 by a mining engineer, Ferenc Frei.the eam has been the most popular football club in Tatabanya. Formerly the club was managed by nandor Hidegkuti in 1966 and later in 2008-09 the club was managed by Octavio Zambrano.
