C.F. Estrela da Amadora or Clube de Futebol Estrela da Amadora is also known as Estrela. This is a Portuguese sports club which is based in Amadora, to the northwest of Lisbon. Founded in 1932, this team last played their match in the third division, holding home games at Estadio Jose Gomes.

Post their victory of the cup in 1990, the club reached the second round in the UEFA Cup winner’s cup. The following decades, the team managed to maintain their first division status in most of the seasons. In 2008-09, amidst serious financial problems, the team got twice relegated though they finished the campaign in mid table.

Major Achievements

The club won the European Cup winners’ Cup in 1990-91. Moreover, they won the Portuguese Cup in 1989-90 and the Second Division in 1992-93.
