Heracles Almelo is a Dutch football club based in Almelo. They currently feature in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Heracles Almelo were established on May 3,1903 as Heracles after the demigod son of Zeus. On July 1,1974 they were christened to SC Heracles ‘74 and assumed their current name only in 1998.
Heracles won their first Dutch league title in 1927 and repeated their feat in 1941.
