PFC Spartak Nalchik is a Russian football club based in Nalchik. They currently feature in the Russian Premier League.
Spartak Nalchik were established in 1959 and initially played in the regional “B-class” tournament. They won the competition in 1965 and were promoted to the “A-class”. They played in this division from 1966 to 1970.
Spartak Nalchik featured in the Soviet Second League in 1971 and gained promotion to the Soviet First League in 1972. They suffered relegation from the Soviet top flight in 1972 but returned soon.
Spartak Nalchik earned promotion to the Russian Premier League in 2005 and have been playing in the top flight since then.
Spartak Nalchik play their home matches at the Spartak Stadium that can accommodate 14,400 spectators. They bear the nickname Spalchik.

Nalchik played in the Buffer League in 1990 and 1991. One year later they played in the Russian First Division but were relegated in 1993. They returned to the top flight in 1995 but played in the First Division between 1996 and 2005.
