Saint Mirren Football Club, often known simply as St. Mirren, is a Scottish football club based in Paisley, Renfrewshire. They currently feature in the Scottish Premier League.

St. Mirren were established in 1877 and played their first match against Johnstone Britannia on October 6,1877. They played their first Scottish Cup match against Johnstone Athletic on September 4,1880. In 1890 St. Mirren were one of the founding members of the Scottish League.

St. Mirren reached their first Scottish Cup final in the 1907-1908 season. They went onto win the competition in 1926,1959 and 1987. They finished third in the league in the 1979-1980 season and were the first and last Scottish Cup to win the Anglo-Scottosh Cup that year. They featured in Europe the following season for the first time in their history.

St. Mirren play their home matches at the New St. Mirren Park, that can accomodate 8,000 spectators. They bear the nickname “The Buddies”.
