Based out of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, is the La Luz Tacuru Futbol Club. In 1929, the club was formed by a group of people sitting in a bar run by Faustino Fernandez. Regulars at the place, the club was named after the fact that the bar was just one of the few places in the town that had electricity in that day and age. Meaning “The Light”, La Luz played in white jerseys. The club plays at the Parque Luis Rivero, a 4,500 seat arena that hosts the club that has players like Jair Rosa.
