Institucion Atletica Sud America, or just Sud America, are a football team based out of Montevideo in Uruguay. The team is a regular member at the Segunda Division of the Uruguayan league system and has won that league 6 times. Although not as strong as it was during its yesteryears, the club still holds many records.
Along with 6 Segunda Division titles, Sud America also have qualified for the Copa CONMEBOL once, in 1995, where they managed to reach the second round. Dario Rodriguez and Fernando Carreno have turned out for the club at their 6,000 seater Estadio Carlos Angel Fossa.
