Filip Hološkoimage:Filip Hološko |Filip Hološko is a Slovakian striker, who at present, plays for Besiktas J.K and also for the Slovakia national football team. Born in 1984 in Piešťany in Czechoslovakia, he became popular after he played for the Slovakia U-20 team in the FIFA World Youth Championship in 2003.
In mid 2007-08 season, Filip got transferred to Besiktas club to replace Burak Yilmaz for a sum of five million Euros. Filip was not known by some for his football talent, when he made up his mark and gave a tremendous performance for 2008-09 season.
At present, he is known as one of the most valuable players of his team having an estimated value of six million Euros. He is also popular for his goal against Fenerbahce.
In 1990-1998, he played for MFK Piestany and from 1998 to 2001, he played for Trencin club. It was in 2001, when he joined Trencin where he made one appearance only. From 2002 to 2005, he played for Slovan Liberec club, scoring 17 goals of 54 appearances. For one season, he played for Manisaspor, and made 65 appearances scoring 21 goals. From 2008 onwards, he is with Besiktas J. K and scored 24 goals of 63 appearances.
