Jan Mucha is a Slovakian football player who currently features for the Premier League club Everton. He plays as a goalkeeper.

Mucha commenced his professional club football career at Inter Bratislava in 2000 and played for them for two years. Thereafter he joined MSK Zilina and was on their books until 2005, winning the Corgon Liga in 2003 and 2004 and the Slovak Super Cups the same years.

His impressive performances for MSK saw him earn a move to Legia Warszawa. He was the second-choice goalkeeper behind Lukasz Fabianski for the first two years, but thereafter Mucha became the number one following his move to Arsenal. He won the Ekstraklasa in 2006 and the Polish Cup in 2008.

Mucha’s excellent displays for the Polish side saw him move to Everton in the summer of 2010 when his contract ran out. However, at the Premier League club he has struggled to play regularly.

Mucha made his international debut for Slovakia in February 2008 against Hungary in a friendly international and featured for his country at the 2010 World Cup finals. He retired from international football on October 8, 2012.
