Joachin "Jogi" Löw is a retired professional football player who was born on February 3, 1960 in Schonau im Schwarzwald, Germany. Löw is best known for being a football midfielder, as well as for currently being the coach of the German national team.

Löw's career as a professional football player started when he joined the Second League team SC Frieburg. There, he was able to start off with two years experience in the club. Löw actually came back to the club two times, in 1982 and 1985 during his career. The next team that Löw played was with VfB Stuttgart, which was a part of the FuBball-Bundesliga. However, he had some difficulties establishing himself as a mainstay player. He only played four games during this time.

Over the course of his career, Löw also played with other clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, Karlsrusher SC, and FC Schaffhausen, FC Winterhur, and FC Frauenfeld. It was as FC Frauenfeld that Löw enjoyed his last game that was played in 1995. Although his experience was extensive, Löw was not able to play in the German national team, rather he coached the team since 2006, but started as an assistant coach in 2004.

As a coach, Löw started as a club coach of FC Winterthur’s youth club. However, this was during the time he was still playing. He focused on coaching after he retired, with his first coaching job at VfB Stuttgart. His big break came, however, when Löw was named as the head coach of the German national team in 2006.
