Nejc Pečnikimage:Nejc Pečnik|Nejc Pečnik is a Slovenian football player who presently plays for C.D. Nacional and also for the Slovenian national team. His main position is that of an attacking midfielder. He started his football career in NK Dravograd and played till 2002.
It was not until 2004 that he got to make his first division debut after signing with NK Celje in 2002 against FC Ljubljana. In 2005, he played in 7 league matches with few additions of Cup appearances including the finals against FC Koper. It was in 2005-06 season, when Nejc established himself as a key offensive player though he had a low profile start to his career during his time with Publikum and Celje.
He was the top scorer of Celje club in 2007-08 with 14 league goals. Later on, he joined Sparta Prague in 2008 on loan basis with rare appearances with the Czech first division. In 2009 spring, he joined C.D. Nacional of Portugal.
In 2009, Nejc made his debut for the Slovenian national football team in FIFA World Cup against Northern Ireland.
