Marko Šulerimage:Marko Šuler |Marko Šuler is a Slovenian football player who plays with the Slovenian national team and also with the AA Gent. Born in Slovenj Gradec in 1983, he plays as a central defender. Marko even represented Slovenia at U-1, U-18 and U-21 level, though he had to wait till he turned 25 to get qualified for senior matches.
Renowned for his amazing heading skills, swiftness and leadership on the pitch, he got an opportunity to play in senior level and earned his first cap for the Slovenian squad in 2008. This was a friendly match held in the month of March against Hungary. His first chance to make a goal for the team came whilst playing against Croatia in a friendly match held on August 20, 2008.
Suler was a regular at center half when he was qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 held in South Africa. He has played in 10 of the Zmajceki’s 12 preliminary tournaments and with Bostjan Cesar, he made some amazing defensive records.

Marko received many honors till date, one of which includes Slovenian Cup runner up in 2003-04 season with NK Dravograd. Whilst with ND Gorica, he won the Prva liga in 2004-05 and in 2005-06, with being a runner up in 2006-07. With this club, he won the Slovenian Cup as a runner up in 2004-05.
It was with K.A.A Gent team, that Suler received the Jupiler Pro League, vice champion honor in 2009-10 season and Belgian Cup, runner up in 2007-08.
