Pirmin Schwegler> is a Swiss football player who plays as a midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt team. He began his career in football with FC Lucerne team and scored 3 goals making 40 appearances. Brother of Christian Schwegler, Pirmin was born in Ettiswil in Switzerland.
During his youth years, he played for FC Grosswangen from 1992-2002 and for 2002 to 2003 for the FC Lucerne team. In 2005, he joined another team, Young Boys and played for the team for one season only. During this time, he made 32 appearances and scored one goal. From 2006 onwards, Schwegler joined Bayer Leverkusen team, making 46 appearances. Later on, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt, and since 2009 has made 25 appearances scoring 3 goals. With this team, his contract runs till June 2012.
Pirmin is known as one of the most promising young talents in Swiss football. This Ettiswil born midfielder joined FC Grosswnagen prior to moving to FC Lucerne in 2002. With his consistent solid performances at club levels, he has become an integral part of the Nati squad due to which, he was looking forward to make his first World cup appearance in South Africa, which got fulfilled.
