Federico Julián Fazio is a young Argentine international footballer who currently features for the Spanish and Andalucian giants Sevilla FC. He plays as a central defender and is 6’5” tall which allows to him to be very efficient in the air. Fazio won the U-20 World Cup in 2007 with Argentina.
Federico Julián Fazio commenced his professional career at modest Argentine club Ferro Carril Oeste in 2005 and featured in 48 matches in all competitions in one and a half seasons there until he was signed by Sevilla FC in January 2007.
Fazio spent the entire of the remaining 2006-2007 season at Sevilla Atletico in the Segunda Division in Spain and in the 2007-2008 season the Argentine defender alternated between Sevilla Atletico and the senior side. He scored his first (two) goals for Sevilla in May 2008 against Racing Santander in La Liga.

Federico Fazio was one of the integral components for the Argentine side that convincingly won the World Youth Championships in Canada in the summer of 2007. He has earned one international cap for the Argentine senior side and is slated to become one of the regular starters for Argentina in the coming years.
