Timo Hildebrand is a German international footballer who currently features for the Spanish giants Valencia. He plays as a goalkeeper.
Timo Hildebrand commenced his professional career at German club VFB Stuttgart in 1999 and made 227 apperances for them until December 2006 when he was signed by Valencia on a free transfer after he refused a contract extension at Stuttgart.
Hildebrand was thought to replace the veteran goalkeeper Santiago Canizares at Valencia and in the 2007-2008 season he did just that and is expected to be the number one custodian for Los Che in the 2008-2009 season too.
Timo Hildebrand made his international debut for Germany in April 2004 against Romania in a friendly international and was the third choice goalkeeper for Germany at Euro 2004 and at the 2006 Germany World Cup but wasn't selected for the Euro 2008 finals.
