Carlos Arnoldo Salcido Flores,image:Carlos Salcido|Carlos Salcido a professional footballer who is a part of the Mexican National Football team, was born on 2nd April 1980. In the Dutch Eredivisie league, he plays for PSV. He has also played for Guadalajara making a hundred and five appearances for them from 2001 to 2005. A product of the Guadalajara youth academy, Salcido plays as a defender.
Carlos Salcido commenced his football career with Chivas. He was signed by PSV Eindhoven on 10th of July 2006. One of the most trusted players of team’s coach Ronald Koeman, Salcido has also been a starter in many matches played by the team. His first goal for the club came in a game played against Excelsior Rotterdam on 18th November 2006. In a hundred and twenty one appearances made for the club till now, this efficient defender has scored three goals.
In 2004, Salcido made his debut for Mexico national football team in a friendly match played against Ecuador. He has been a part of the team in many championships since then. Till now, he has won seventy-seven caps scoring six goals for his team. He was included in the twenty-three men squad of the Mexican team for the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Carlos Salcido has announced his retirement from the international football after the World Cup is over.
