Winston Wiremu Reid> was born on 3rd July 1988 in Auckland, New Zealand. Later he moved to Denmark with his mother and stepfather. Reid is a professional football player who plays for New Zealand national team. He also plays for FC Midtjylland. Standing 6 feet three inches tall, Brown’s playing position is centre back. A strong and well-built footballer, Winston Reid is also gifted with a good technique.
Reid commenced his football career with SUB Sønderborg. Later he moved to FC Midtjylland. His debut for Midtjylland came in the year 2005 and a series of good performances made him a regular player in the team. Alongside Christian Sivebæk, Jesper Weinkouff and Simon Kjær, Reid is one of the talents who have emerged strongly from Midtjylland.
In 2006, Winston got Danish citizenship. He played for Under-19, Under-20 and Under 21 teams of Denmark. He expressed a desire to play for the New Zealand team and was subsequently selected for the World Cup squad on 10th May 2010. His International debut came in a friendly played against Australia. Reid’s performance in the second match played against Serbia impressed the All Whites Coach Ricki Herbert.
