Jens Niclas Alexandersson is a retired professional football midfielder who was born on December 29, 1971 in Halmstad, Sweden. Alexandersson is known for his versatility when playing the sport, his skill in dribbling, and his stamina when playing.

The 5 ft 11 ½ inch football player started playing football when he was still young, and eventually, he played in the Vessigebro BK. In 1989, Alexandersson played at club level by joining Halmstads BK. He spent quite some time at his first club, only leaving Halmstads BK in 1995. A year later, Alexandersson transferred to IFK Goteborg where he was just a member for a year or so. Other clubs that Alexandersson played at club level include Sheffield Wednesday, Everton, and West Ham United on a loan.

Alexandersson also played for his home country’s national team, starting in 1993. During all those years playing for his country, he was able to make 109 caps with 7 goals. The last year Alexandersson played for his country was the year before he retired from the sport in 2009. Nevertheless, all his years playing for his home national team proved to be fruitful as he was able to participate in numerous events such as the 2002 FIFA World Cup, 2000 European Championship, and the 2006 FIFA World Cup. In addition, he represented his country during the Summer Olympics in 1992 that was held in Barcelona, which was quite memorable because it was one of his goals that caused the 1-1 draw against England.

Although Alexandersson has retired from the national team, he plans to participate if the team really needed him.
