Stephen Sunday

Stephen Obayan Sunday is a teenage Nigeria-born Spanish footballer currently featuring for the Spanish giants Valencia. He plays as a midfielder and has represented Spain at youth level.

Stephen Sunday began his career in his native Lagos with FC Ebedei and Jegede Babes and got his big break in 2003 when he participated two youth championships in Sweden and Spain. In the Spanish capital Madrid, his display in the third edition of the Annual Immigrants Mundial was so impressive that he was given a five-year deal with Poli Ejido which came to fruition only after he was adopted by one of the directors of the club which then enabled him to get the allowance to stay in Spain.

He played for Polo Ejido between 2005 and 2007 and then decided to sign for Valencia. He has made 16 appearances for Los Che so far.
