Hector Altimirano
Hector Altamirano Escudero is a professional footballer from Mexico who plays as a midfielder. Known as El Pity, Altamirano has always preferred the right flank of midfield, making darting runs inwards and along the flanks. Altamirano made his debut in 1997, playing 6 games for Cruz Azul as a youngster still looking to make a mark on the professional level.
Despite scoring a goal, Altamirano stayed primarily on the bench and moved on to Santos Laguna in 1998. Altamirano spent 7 seasons at Santos Laguna, playing almost 240 games and scoring over 37 goals for the team. Altamirano had become an incredible player on the right flank, and as a regular starter, became an incredibly energetic and skillful player to haunt defenses on the right.
In 2005, Altamirano decided to move from Santos Laguna and move to San Luis FC. The newly promoted club allowed Altamirano enough space to shine and he was a major influence in helping the team reach the finals of the league. His 2 goals in 29 appearances were enough to prove his efficiency and effectiveness for the team, bring him to Monarcas Morelia at the end of the 2005-06 season.
For a year at Morelia, Altamirano played just 20 games with one goal to his name, especially considering that he was out with minor injuries for some parts of the season. He moved to Tecos UAG at the end of the season but was not particularly effective in this new team as well. 15 games and a single goal later, Altamirano was out on his way again, this time to Correcaminos UAT.
In a bid to revive his career, Altamirano worked harder and scored 5 goals while influencing many, in his 27 appearances for the team in the season. Again shifting teams at the end of the season, Altimirano moved to Tiburones Roja de Veracruz in 2009, playing just 10 games and scoring a single goal. He moved within the same year, to Queretaro where he has yet to make a major contribution to the team.
