Mirko Vucinic is a Montenegro international football player who currently features for the Italian giants Juventus. He plays as a striker and is rated as one of the best players in Serie A.
Vucinic got his first real breakthrough in 2001 for modest Italian club Lecce in 20010and after five impressive seasons there, the youngster was signed by Roma in the summer of 2006 on a one-year loan contract worth €3.5 million with an option of buying him entirely from Lecce at the end of the 2006-2007 season for an additional €7.5 million.
He went on to establish himself as one of the more prolific and reliable forwards in Italy, scoring 46 goals in 147 Serie A appearances and earned a move to Juventus in 2011. Vucinic has since been an important figure for the Turin giants, winning the Italian league title in 2011-12.
Vucinic's international career has been strange to say the least. He was one of the two Montenegro-born players who had been chosen to play for Serbia and Montenegro at 2006 World Cup but in May got injured and so couldn't feature in the competition.
He is the captain of Montenegro now and carved his name on his nation's history by scoring the nation's first ever goal when he scored from the spot against Hungary on March 24, 2007.
