Nihat Kahveci is a Turkish international striker who currently features for the Spanish side Villarreal. He is a prolific striker and helped the Yellow Submarine to a second place in La Liga in the 2007-2008 season.
Nihat is a product of Beşiktaş J.K.’s youth system and played 114 games for the Turkish giants between 1998 and 2002. In the January 2002 he was transferred to Spanish side Real Socieded.
He scored 23 goals in the 2002-2003 season for la Real, becoming the joint second-highest goalscorer in La Liga that season. His goals fired Sociedad to a second place finish in the Spanish first season that season.
Nihat joined Villarreal in the summer of 2006 on a free transferred on a four-year contract. He is now the first choice striker for Villarreal.
Nihat Kahveci made his debut for Turkey in 2000 and featured for his nation in the 2002 World Cup. He has played 51 matches for his nation, scoring 18 goals so far.
