José Manuel Jurado Marín, most commonly known as Jurado, is a Spanish professional international football player who currently plays for the FC Schalke 04 team of Germany. Generally an attacking midfielder, he can play on the wings but he prefers to play in the hole just behind the two strikers.
Jurado is a graduate of the Real Madrid Castilla and made his debut for the senior in the 2005-2006 season. He played 5 matches for the Merengues including one against Olimpiakos in the UEFA Champions League but failed to thread his way into an already dense Real Madrid line-up.
Jurado was signed by city-rivals Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2006 for a transfer fee of around 3 million euros. But Real Madrid do have a first-option in his contract which denotes that at the end of the 2007-2008 Real can buy Jurado back from Atletico.
Jose played for Spain national football team at U16, U17, U19 and U21 levels, representing the nation at the FIFA U17 World Cup other than UEFA European U21 Championship.
