Juan Valera Espín, simply known as Valera, is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
Valera is actually a midfielder but his versatility allows him to play as a defender and as a right-back. He commenced his professional career at little known Bullas FC in 2000 and moved onto Real Murcia in 2003.
Valera played for Murcia for two years and was signed by Atletico Madrid in 2005. Valera, though, has got limited opportunities at Atletico so far at the Vicente Calderon.
