Zeljko Castro

José Eduardo Rosa Vale e Castro, better known as Ze Castro, is Portuguese footballer currently playing for the Spanish powerhouse Atletico Madrid. He is a central defender and began his career at his hometown club of Académica Coimbra in the Portuguese SuperLiga.

He played for them between 2003-2006 and was transferred to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2006. He had the options to join Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic and even mighty Bayern Munich, but he decided to join the Madrid club.

Ze Castro though has not been able to play regularly for Atletico in his two seasons at the Vicente Calderon.
