Abel Moreno

Abel Gomez Moreno, commonly known simply as Abel, is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish football club Xerez CD. He plays as a midfielder.

Abel Gomez Moreno commenced his professional club football career at Sevilla B in 2001 and after three seasons with them joined Malaga B and played in the Spanish Segunda Division.

Moreno then signed for Real Murcia in 2006 and played a key role in them climbing back to the Spanish top flight but at the end of the 2007-2008 season suffered relegation again.

Abel Moreno signed for FC Steaua Bucuresti in the summer of 2008 but resigned after only four months with them. He went back to Spain and signed for Xerez CD in late January 2009 and helped the club gain promotion to La Liga for the first time in its history.
