Andrea Barzagli is an Italian World Cup-winning football player who currently features for the Italian and European giants Juventus. He plays as a central defender.

Barzagli commenced his professional club football career at semi-professional side Rondinella Calcio in 1998. He moved to Italian Serie B club AC Pistoiese in 2000 and after one season joined Ascoli Calcio and helped them gain promotion to the Serie B.

Barzagli was signed by Chievo Verona in 2003 and after one season he moved to Palermo, for whom he played until 2008, establishing himself as one of the best central defenders in entire Europe.

In 2008 VfL Wolfsburg signed Barzagli and the Italian helped the Wolves to their first ever German Bundesliga title in the 2008-2009 season. But in 2011 he was let go and he joined Juventus, with whom he won Serie A in the 2011-12.

Barzagli made his international debut for Italy in November 2004 against Finland and was part of the Italian squad that won the 2006 World Cup finals. He also played for Italy at the Euro 2008 and Euro 2012 finals.
