Fabian Johnson is a German football player who currently features for the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He is a versatile footballer who can play either as a defender or as a midfielder.
Fabian Johnson commenced his professional club football career at German club 1860 Munich after coming through the youth ranks at the club. He played for the 1860 Munich first team between 2006 and 2009, making 90 appearances and scoring four goals before switching to VfL Wolfsburg on July 14 2009.
Johnson established himself as a very capable defender and was signed by 2008-2009 German champions Vfl Wolfsburg in July 2009.
The first goal of Johson was scored for Wolfsburg in a 2-2 draw at home to SC Frelburg.
On 25 August 2011, he was called up to the United States National Team for playing friendly matches with Costa Rica and Belgium. Along with it he has also represented the German National Football team in U-19, U-20 and U-21 levels.
