Sebastien Pocognoli is a Belgian football player of Italian origin who currently features for the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar. He plays as a left back and can also play as a left-winger.
Sebastian Pocognoli commenced their professional club football career at Belgian club KRC Genk and made his first-team debut in April 2004 when he was only 16 years of age and started playing regularly for the first team in 2006.
In 2007 Pocognoli's versatality to play either as a right-winger or a right-back earned him a move to Dutch club AZ Alkmaar on a five-year contract. He has been linked with a move to Spanish Primera Division club Real Zaragonza in the summer of 2009.
Sebastien Pocognoli made his international debut for Belgium in 2008.
