Williamis Souza
Williamis de Souza Silva is a professional midfielder from Brazil who plays as an attacking midfielder. Souza began his professional career at Centro Sportivo Alagoano in 1998. The following year, he helped the team win the 1999 Alagoas State Championship title. The year after that, Souza went over to the Botafogo for another two seasons.
The following year, he moved to Club Libertad in Paraguay for a year. A year later, he returned to Brazil and joined Guarani but things turned sour very quickly and he returned to his first club, Centro Sportivo Alagoano.
At the end of the season, he moved to Atletica Portuguesa Santista for a single season. In 2003, the same year as when he moved to Atletica Portuguesa Santista, Souza was transferred to Sao Paolo and he spent the next 6 seasons at the club, winning many titles.
Souza played over a 130 matches and scored 15 goals in a season and helped his team win the Sao Paolo State Championships in 2005 as well as the Libertadores Cup and the FIFA World Cup. The following year, they won the Brazilian Championship, a feat they repeated in 2007.
In 2008, Europe beckoned Souza and he moved to Paris Saint-Germain but after playing just 7 unimpressive games, was sent out on loan to Gremio. In his first 20-odd games in 2008, he scored a goal for the team.
