Matias Leonardo Escobar is an Argentine footballer, who began his professional football career in 2004, with Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata. He remained with the club till 2007, during which time he made over 100 appearances with the team, and scored 6 goals. In 2008, Escobar joined Turkish club, Kayerispor, but remained there for only one season, and is currently on loan to Rosario Central.
