An Uruguayan footballer, Gonzalo Gabriel Choy Gonzalez, began playing professional football with C.A. Cerro, in his hometown, Montevideo, in 2000. But he remained with the club for only one season, and soon moved to Argentina to join Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in 2001. Gonzalez remained with the club for four years, and then moved to Olimpo in 2005, but made a switch in the same year to Quilmes, where he remained or one season, making 33 appearances and scoring, 8 goals.
The midfielder moved the next year to Argentinos Juniors, where he spent one season, and then onto another season with Monarcas Morelia. In 2008, Gonzalez joined CF Monterrey, where he remained for one season, after which he joined his current club, Rosario Central, where he plays as midfielder.
