Jorge Martin Nunez is a professional footballer from Paraguay who plays as a defender. Nunez began his playing career in 1996 when he played for Cerro Porteno for 4 seasons. Initially struggling to make the team, Nunez soon became a part of the first team by his third season at the club and ended up with 42 appearances while scoring 5 goals. He moved to Club Guarani for a couple of seasons but returned to Porteno for another season.
He scored 3 more goals for Porteno in his second stint which lasted just 30-odd games before moving to Argentina to play for Club Atletico Banfield in 2003. A regular fixture of their lineup for the entire season, Nunez performed admirably enough to be picked by Arsenal de Sarandi for the next season. His scoring tally with Banfield was doubled when he scored his second goal for Arsenal in his 34 games.
In 2005, Nunez was moving again, this time to Racing Club however his tryst with his new owners didn’t last long as he was soon on his way to Estudiantes after just 8 appearances. He stayed with Estudiantes till the end of the 2005-06 season but only had 11 appearances before returning to Paraguay and to Cerro Porteno for his third spell with the club.
