A Brazilian footballer, Thiago Heleno Henrique Ferreira, began playing football with the youth club of his current club Cruzeiro, and went on to join the senior team in 2006. The central defender has made over 20 appearances for the team. His professional debt was against Juventude, in 2006. Heleno was a part of the winning Brazilian Under-17 squad, which went on to win the 2005 South American Under-17 Football championship.
Heleno has also been a part of the Brazilian Under-18 team, as well as the Under-20 squad. He has played and won the 2007 South American Youth championship with the team, and made 6 match appearances. Some of his title wins include, the Campeonato Mineiro in 2006 and 2008.
