An Argentine footballer from Villa Maria, Mauro Damian Rosales is extremely popular for his lightning speed and impressive crossing skills. A part of the Argentine U-20 team, which went on to win the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship. Apart from that he was also part of the gold-winning team at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Rosales joined Ajax, but soon returned to Argentina to join with River Plate, a top division club in the Argentine league, for a fee of 1.8 million Euros. He was instrumental in the 2008 Clausura tournament win, which was the first title for the club in four years. This winger/forward has appeared in several international events such as the Dutch Cup, and the Johan Cruijff Schaal.
