Anthony Vanden Borre is a young Belgian international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Genoa. He plays as a right-back.
Anthony Vanden Borre developed at the youth academy of Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht and made his first team debut for them in 2003. He went onto play for them for four seasons, scoring three goals in 69 league matches. He established himself as a very versatile player at Anderlecht and demonstrated his ability to play as a right-back or as a defender.
Anthony Vanden Borre was signed by Italian club Fiorentina in the summer of 2007. He made his Italian Serie A debut on October 7, 2007 against Juventus but in January 2008 he was sent on loan to Italian side Genoa. In June 2008 Genoa signed Vanden Borre on a permanent contract.
