A Uruguayan footballer, Juan Manuel Diaz Martinez, began played professional football with Liverpool de Montevideo in 2007. In the same year, Diaz has also participated with the Uruguay Under-20 team, in the 2007 South American Youth Championship, as well as the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Diaz was signed up by Estudiantes in 2008, and has even appeared in 4 matches in the Copa Libertadores 2008, with the team. He currently plays as defender for the team.
