Michele Canini is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Cagliari. He plays as a defender.

Michele Canini developed at the youth academy of Italian club Atalanta and made his professional club football career at start at Sambenedettese in 2004-2005 when he was on loan there from Atalanta. In 2005 he was signed by Cagliari and he has been playing for them since.

Michele Canini played for Italy at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship.
