Francesco Valiani is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Bologna. He plays as a midfielder.
Francesco Valiani developed at the youth academy of Italian club Pistoiese and after playing on loan first for Maceratese during the 2000-2001 season and then for Imolese during the 2001-2002 season. In 2002 he returned to Pistoiese and scored 12 goals in 92 league matches in three seasons.
After playing for Rimini for three seasons between 2005 and 2008, scoring 9 goals in 92 league matches, he moved to Bologna in 2008. He made his Italian Serie A debut for Bologna on August 31,2008 against AC Milan and actually scored the winner against them.
