Jaime Andres Valdes Zapata is a Chilean international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Atalanta. He plays as a midfielder.
Jaime Zapata commenced his professional club footbal career at Palestino in 1998 and played for them for one season. He scored 15 goals in 49 league matches and was signed by Bari in 2000.
Zapata became an important player for Bari in the first few years of the new century as he made 116 league appearances between 2000 and 2004, scoring 8 goals.

Jaime Valdes made his international debut for Chile in 2001 but has been unable to play regularly for his nation.
