Angelo de Almeida

Angelo Mariano de Almeida, commonly known as Angelo, is a Brazilian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Lecce. He plays as a defender.

Angelo Mariano de Almeida commenced his professional club football career in his native Brzil at South American powerhouse Corinthians. He played for them for three season and moved to Sao Caetano.

After playing for Sao Caetano for one season, he moved to Criciuma and in January 2005 was signed by Italian side Lecce. He spent the remainder of the 2004-2005 season on loan at Italian Serie B club Crotone.

At the end of the 2004-2005 season Angelo was recalled by Lecce and has been playing for them since then.
