Marcelo Zalayeta is an Uruguayan international football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Napoli. He plays as a striker and had n b featured for Juventus.
Marcelo Zalayeta started his professional club football career with Uruguayan giants Danubio in 1996 and joined Penarol in 1997. He was later signed by Italian powerhouse Juventus and went onto score 38 goals in 123 league matches until he moved in 2007.
During his time at Juventus he played on loan at Empoli, Sevilla and Perugia and also played in the UEFA Champions League for Juve and scored the extra-time winner against FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals in 2003.
