Dario Dainelli is an Italian footballer who currently features for the Italian side Fiorentina. He plays as a central defender and is also the captain of Fiorentina.
Dario Dainelli commenced his professional career at Italian side Empoli in 1996 and spent the early part of his career at lower league clubs. But it was in 2001 that he came to the fore when he was signed by Brescia.
In the summer of 2004 Dario Dainelli was signed by Fiorentina after the Florence based club both half of his registration rights. In January 2005 Fiorentina bought all the rights from Brescia. He has been a rock for Fiorentina at the heart of their defence and signed a new four-year contract with the Viola at the end of the 2006-2007 season.
Dario Dainelli made his international debut for Italy against Ecuador in an international friendly in June 2005.
