Kasper Peter Schmeichel is a Danish football goalkeeper who currently features for the French club Nice. He is the son of the former Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel.
Kasper Schmeichel spent most his childhood in England as his father Peter played in England and joined Man City in 2002. He made his debut for Man City in the English Premiership in 2003. He has since played on loan to Darlington, Bury, Falkirk, Cardiff City and Coventry City, before stints with Notts County and Leeds United and a permanent switch to Leicester City where he thrived.
At Leicester City, Schmeichel was part of the famous side that remarkably won the 2015-16 Premier League title. He spent 11 seasons at Leicester where he was always their first-choice goalkeeper. In August 2022, he left for Nice
