Enzo Francescoli Uriarte is a former Uruguayan football player of Italian and Spanish origin who used to feature prominently during the 1980s and 1990s. He played as an attacking midfielder or striker and is considered as one of the greatest player of Uruguay. He was named by Pele in March 2004 as one of the 125 greatest living footballers and is currently the president of GOL TV and Tenfield.

Enzo Francescoli commenced his professional club football career at Uruguayan side Montevideo Wanderers in 1980 and subsequently went onto play for clubs such as River Plate, Cagliari and Torino. He won five league titles with River Plate and also won the Copa Libertadores in 1996 with the Argentine powerhouse.

Enzo Francescoli made his international debut for Uruguay in 1982 and went onto feature 72 times for his nation, scoring 15 goals. He featured for Uruguay at the 1986 and 1990 World Cup finals and won the Copa America thrice with the national team (1983,1987,1995).

French legend Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of Enzo Francescoli. He admitted that Francescoli was his favourite player while he was a boy and even named one of his sons Enzo.
