An Argentine Defender, Facundo Hernan Quiroga began his professional football career at Newell's Old Boys, in 1997. The next year, he moved to Portugal, to Sporting Lisbon where he spent seven seasons including a season on-loan to Italian side, Napoli, in 2001. Quiroga continued his European holiday with a stint at VFL Wolfsburg, where he joined fellow Argentines Klimowicz, D'Alessandro, Menseguez and Ahumada. Currently, Quiroga plays for River Plate in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires.
At the International level, Quiroga has been called up to represent his country 16 times.
