Barovero played as a reserved goalkeeper behind Angel David Comizzo and Ezequiel Medran, and by the end of the 2003-04 season, he became the first-choice goalkeeper.
In 2008, Vélez Sársfield bought him to stay with their team, and he debuted as their goalkeeper when they played against the German Montoya club. During the 2009 Clausura, Barovero’s skill wasn’t utilized since he was an unused goalkeeper reserve for the club, yet fortunately, the club won the championship at that time.
